Designed for Deeper Digging, Longer Reach, Higher Dumping
|
| Maximum Working Range | Greater Performance | Superior Slew Speed |
| Featuring 10,010mm (31' 10") digging reach and 6.630mm (21' 9") digging depth, the SOLAR 220LC-III offers maximum working range even in rugged working conditions. | Featuring a 2-speed bucket crowd, the SOLAR 220LC-III provides swift bucket operations for greater speed and efficiency. Maximum digging force of 12,800kg (28,200 lbs) is an outstanding performer on a broad range of large scale. | A fast 12.3 rpm swing speed helps to move dirt quickly through the dig-to-dump cycle. | Outstanding Daewoo Storm Engine D1146 | High Efficiency Hydraulic Pump | Advanced Control Valve |
| The Daewoo Storm Engine D1146, with increased power to 135PS maximizes fuel efficiency and economy, and provides plenty of power even in continuous operation and inclement weather. | With cross sensing system, each pump can utilize a major portion of total engine output. This system provides increased efficiency as well as maximum hoursepower output when required. | A anti-creep valve is installed in control valve arm line, and it prevents dropping of the boom by reducing spool leakage. An arm revival circuit has also been added so that when the arm crowd is activated, operations can guarantee greater speed and efficiency. |
| Ergonomically Engineered | Roomy, Comforatble Cabin |
| the SOLAR 220LC-III has been ergonomically engineered to provide maximum operator comfort and this engineering includes the operating level and the seat level for greater operational convenience. Other features includes reduced noise, interior light, deluxe interior materials to maximize comfort and convenience in every way possible. | The cab features a roomy interior and comfortable suspension seat for productive operational
environment. Ergonomics have been applied to the design of the international standard cab and electrical and heating systems match those of your automobile for convenience and effeciency. |
| New Control Levers | New LCD Monitor |
| Four levers are easy to use for control of all functions including digging, swing and travel. Control levers have also been installed with ergonomics in mind for maximum operator convenience. | The LCD monitor is mounted in front of the instrument panel and curved so as to provide maximum ease in reading of oil pressure, temperature, engine and oil indicators. The operator can easily monitor all mechanical operations and control switches are easily accessible for added safety. |
Right Size, Right Capabilities
The new Solar Series-III Model, the 170-III, is ideally positioned for the mid-size
excavator user. Its operating weight of 37,258 lbs. and standard bucket sie
of 9.1 cu. yd. (with a bucket capacity range of .063 to 1.19 cu. yd.) give it
plenty of lift and versatility. Like all otherDAEWOO
excavators, it has a DAEWOO-built diesel enging, the
DB58T, rated at 113 SAE net hp. Its bucket breakout force is an impressive 21,164 lbs.
Its high and low travel speed ranges are 3.2 and 2.4 mph respectively. Continuous
gradeability is 70% (35 deg.), with an over-all undercarriage/track
width of 9' 2" and track length of 13' 3". Maximum swing speed of 10.8 mph helps
to boost the Solar 170-III has a maximum digging reach of 30' 7, digging depth of
21' 10", and maximum dump height of 19' 7". There are several arm, boom and bucket
options.
Optimized Power Equals Operating Economy
Like the other Solar Series-III family member, the Solar 170-III includes
DAEWOO's exclusive "EPOS III" (Electronic Power Optimizing
System). Its 3 power modes and 4 work modes help the unit deliver outstanding, safe
performance. "EPOS III" includes Auto Hi/Lo Travel speed change for fast travel
speeds and high torque requirements, and Swing Priority (a dial-up productivity-
safelty feature that adjusts boom swing speed to operator preference and ability.)
"EPOS III" also includes a push-button 10% Power Boost (available during any
operation) and Auto Computer Bypass, an automatic default to Power Level 2 and
Excavating mode, if there is a computer problem.
"EPOS III" helps ensure operating economy by automatically matching engine and hydraulic
system output to the job. Its Auto Idle feature drops the engine to idle automatically
during waiting times to save money (touching the hand controls returns the system
to full performance.)
Solar 170-III Available in Narrow Package
The Solar 170-III is also available for special applications as a narrow gauge machine. The overall transport width of the Solar 170-III with 24" track pads is only 8' 6". This makes this package very easy to transport and move around with a minimum of permits required.
"Standard" Features are Exeptional
Standard safety features for the Solar 170-III include: swing lock for transportating the unit; disc-type travel/parking brakes; automatic brake seting when unit is stationary; main, make-up and overload relief valves; pre-start and in-operation monitors also for air cleaner clogging and minimum fuel level, and an in-operation engine oil pressure alarm buzzer.
| Powerful digging force | Compact advance control valve | Maximum working range | Outstanding Daewoo storm turbo engine DB58T |
| Maximum bucket digging force of 9.600kgs (21,164 lbs) is one of the highest in it's weight class. Solar 170-III can handle the toughest jobs with precision and ease. | Boom and arm circuit holding valves have been incorporated in the control valve, to prevent unwanted movement in each. A boom and arm circuit regeneration function has also been added to enhance the boom and arm speed and efficiency. | The Solar 170-III offers maximum digging reach of 9.10m (29' 10"): and 6.17m (20' 3") digging depth. The work ranges can be increased with the use of other longer arm length to provide maximum performance in the toughest working conditions. | The Daewoo Storm Enging DB58T has been increased in power to 113HP (SAE) which maximize fuel efficiency and economy. This provides sufficient power in all working conditions for the clean burnig EPA approved Storm Engine. |
